Let’s Close the Gap

Half of what a Maldivian child today reads goes uncomprehended. Their ability to reason through a mathematical problem sits below twenty percent.

Half of working Maldivians are in jobs that don’t match their skills. Nearly one in five young people are nowhere — not in school, not in training, not in work.

This is not a generation failing. This is a gap — between the country we have built and the people we have prepared to live in it.
